I’m Safe: Skyddsrum — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

The app collects no information about you. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it sends nothing to the developer.

Your location

The app uses your phone’s location and compass to work out the distance and direction to the nearest shelters. This happens on the phone. Your location is not sent anywhere and is not stored. The app uses your location only while it is open.

Search

What you type in the search field is searched in the app’s own data, on the phone. It is not sent anywhere.

When the app uses the network

If you email us

The app never asks for your email address. If you write to emil@im-safe.se, we use your email address and your message to answer you, because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. They stay in our mailbox until we delete them. Apple hosts the mailbox (iCloud Mail).

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what you have written to us, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Write to emil@im-safe.se. We answer within one month. If you think we handle your personal data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), www.imy.se.

Who is responsible

The app is provided by Emil Alm, an individual based in Sweden. He is the controller of the personal data described here under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). His postal address is under Contact in our terms.

Changes to this policy

The current version is always on this page, with its date at the top. If we change how the app handles your data, we change this page before the app update with that change is released.
